“Letting things go”

It’s very hard for me to let things go. I guess that’s one of those qualities that make me human. And for a while, that was a problem. Growing up I always had the junky corner in my room – a pile of stuff that I didn’t really have anywhere to put. And it would exist for a long time until cleaning day came around and I was forced to take on the beast that was my ‘junk corner’. The bad habit of collecting stuff that I was oddly attached to but had no place to put would pile up over the years like compound interest.

But since then I’ve really worked on the art of letting things go and one of the hardest things is cleaning out my closet. I’ve always had some type of story behind the clothes I have. It’s especially hardest when the story is particularly sentimental. But here’s a list of things you should get rid of for a less cluttered life.

Key Things to Get Rid of:

– stuff that doesn’t fit. Period. Especially since
– things that remind you of bad relationships
– things that make you sad when you look at them/remind you of bad memories

until it collected so much so that it made its own corner of junk

Even well after being able to identify that this was a problem and becoming better at it (NO MORE JUNK CORNERS)
